This would truly be a fun way to enhance my teaching persona -- by donning it before class! We could start a pedagogical movement. Or perhaps for the next conference paper?
Reminds me of the movie, "Eyes Wide Shut" where they have that weird sex party and all the naked women and men are wearing carnival masks. I guess it is sort of erotic.
J Peterman mentioned the name of that film in his blurb. (I thought the movie was dreadful; what about you?) I like to think of masquerades as being more about witty banter and fabulously eccentric clothes that stay on during a soiree!

ReplyDeleteAny movie starring Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise was bound to be a disaster. To wit, "Far and Away" and "Days of Thunder." Blech.
