Swinging on a Star

I saw this photograph on WWD online.

It reminded me of an illustration accompanying “The Swing” by Robert Louis Stevenson in my own well-worn A Child’s Garden of Verses. (This is not it, but it has the same vibe):

It also reminded me of this Fragonard painting, called “The Swing” aussi:

  3. In what sense, Wendy? It also reminds me of an image from a Toni Morrison novel, but I've chosen to focus on the swing.

  5. Oh, my goodness, I see observation mode is back observing and commenting. Yah!
I saw "Swing" at Lincoln Center and there was a scene modeled after this famous painting and it was so dreamy.
I wish my hair was long enough to do that hair-do!
