I’ve been considering this Christiane Celle Pazzi dress for almost a year now (I’m usually pretty contemplative when the garment is a mainstay of a designer's line).
Although the length looks mini on this tall mannequin, it’s really just above the knee, which makes the dress more versatile.
This also isn’t necessarily the color I’d purchase (there’s a virtual rainbow of beautiful shades available).
Does anyone have this dress? Have a friend with this dress? I’d love to read your review.

I like that dress. I don't own it, but I think it's universally appealing.
My friend was going on about Christian Celle last night. She loves her dresses...
I don't love it in this photo, but maybe on you it would be fab. It's hard to tell on this headless lady.
I agree that the photo doesn't do anything for the dress. Last summer I went to CC with the Julia silk dress in mind and tried this one on as an afterthought. Much to my surprise, I preferred it to Julia, but didn't buy either (I ended up with a raw-ruffle edge dress (the raw edges toughened it up for me). I'm going to try it again . . .
I love this dress (esp. the colour). I used to have some jasmine CC perfume I couldn't live without. I finished the bottle and then they stopped making that scent. So sad. This dress would have gone perfectly with that fragrance.
The dress is available in some 40-odd shades in-store . . . and I'm biding my time until I get near one this summer. Jasmine smells delicious!
If it is is relatively slim, it could be lovely. I can't wear that kind of cut, though -- it makes me look too busty to have that kind of smocking.
I have always wanted to try on the Julia dress! Was it flattering?
My gut says buy, buy, buy!
Maryam--It is a slim cut, which is a major part of the appeal.
The Julia I loved tied in the Calypso style--knotted under the bust, with a silk flouncy skirt worn beneath. It would be perfect in Marrakesh, I'll bet! (It does, however, have elasticized short sleeves, and, depending on the size of one's biceps, they might have to be loosened.)
while the length, color and shape is beautiful, i feel as though since it's already wrinkled on the mannequin, there's not much hope for it holding up well when actually worn on a human.
You know, I hadn't really noticed the wrinkles on Pazzi, perhaps because the Julia dress is stored in a knot and I thus expect some crinkles. I don't know if the dress's penchant for wrinkling would bother me, as it would give the dupioni a casual feel. But not slovenly, I hope! I'll be sure to inspect this feature when I go "in-store"!
I had seen one from Pepe Jeans quite similar at my graduation. It looked great (I mean if this one is too expensive, maybe you can think in the other one).
I hope you will go for this dress. I realize I'm last to the party on this one. It's lovely.
Absolutely love the color (not sure about the style). Would look great on a slim figure. - Nars
