So anyway,

Last night I went to see SATC with my stylish photographer girlfriend. The theatre had stadium seating and had a dizzying effect on me every time the camera panned vertically.

The fashion was dizzying too (in a good way).

Here are some of my favorites:

I really liked that Carrie wore her black studded belt with at least three looks during the film—from a dress to a black puffer coat.

In fact, I really liked the whole black puffer coat ensemble—fedora included—in the drugstore scene. Guess it’s because I’m a winter girl at heart (when I’m not a beach girl, that is).

Loved ALL the chunky, tough, high-heeled Glads.

Loved Carrie’s cream dress and textured short jacket in her “closet” reunion.

And here’s a query for New York readers: At one point, Carrie and Miranda are eating Prêt a Manger sandwiches in the park. To me, “Prêt” says “London,” where it is ubiquitous. I remember a New Yorker article from a number of years back talking about how Prêt hoped to make strides in New York, so I wonder whether it has succeeded.

Does Prêt now also say “New York” or is this product placement at its best?

In the end, was it a yay or a nay?

BTW: You should totally post more personal pics - cuz I'm a voyeur at heart and I'd love to see your backyard, cute pic of the kids, the fireplace room, outfits... Really, what's your privacy compared with our interest? :-)

You're so funny, K.Line . . . Anyway, a yay for fashion; an OK for predictable plot (the great love letters book gave the general idea away, though not the particulars); and a nay for the scatological humour in Mexico . . . (though a yay for the waxing jokes). So overall the yays win and twas a fun night out with my friend.

Pret is around, but not in a way that compares to London. Having eaten it myself, I can't say it's totally unrealistic.

The (mousseline?) flowered jacket from the closet reunion was my absolute favorite.

I'm slowly catching up with you! You're prolific. :D

Ahh--I used to love Cosi for a quick bite. I'd literally walk around the corner from my office, grab a tandouri chicken sandwich with that delicious bread, and sit in Bryant Park for a glorious hour of people-watching and talking. There was also a great little soup shop for people on the go . . .
