Mission Im-Pazzi-ble Accomplished!

UPDATED!

After two good years of “Perhaps, maybe, oh no, well . . . let’s take another look,” I finally ordered a Pazzi dress.

It was, after all, on a deep sale, and was offered in this wild, almost garish golden-bronzy color, which will, I’m telling myself, complement my future summery golden-bronzy skin, in the months to come.

It was important that the dress not be in a “pretty” color—a pink or an aqua, because I want it to be more jolie laide than a girlish look. But paired with some flats and a topknot, I suspect it will work. We’ll see.

Update: The dress arrived yesterday and I'm quite pleased. The color is much more citrus-y that in the image--more yellow, but that's fine and cheerful for summer. And the dress is above my knee, though not as short as in the photo!

Love the title! I'll be intrigued to hear about how short this actually is. The collar is so lovely. And I really like the colour.

I've read that the mannequin is rather tall--5'9"?--so I'll see how this dress translates . . .

How tall are you?

Up to your usual punning ways, I see -- bravo!
I love this dress, altho' I can't go near that colour -- is it silk? it seems quite lustrous

K.Line, 5'7"ish. But I aim for 5'10" in heels.

Materfamilias, This is a silk with a thickish hand. It rustles beautifully! And the wrinkles are deliberate. I roll up and crinkle my silk wrap tops.

I believe your ideas for this dress will work superbly. It's a great color . . . jolie laide or not.

Congrats! I snagged one on eBay last summer and love it. It's brown and has the short sleeves instead of the cap sleeves (fall/winter version, I think). Even better, it's machine washable! Even even better, it has pockets! As for length, I'm 5'5-1/2" and it comes to just barely above my knee. Enjoy your new Pazzi-on. Get it? Passion? Nowhere near as funny as your pun. Sorry.

Great buy and I totally agree with you - I hate girly styles, as jolies laides girls have REAL style.

What an absolutely gorgeous dress - I'm all about shifts & tunics at the moment (although for rather un-chic reasons related to easy access for a certain young lady) and what a brilliant colour!
