As you may have guessed from my avatar, I am mad for headgear with animal ears.
Today I was delighted that the New York Times printed a photo of some skating hats with ears from the 1950s.
This week I am making a promise to myself to find a library that has a collection of Vogue and Elle magazines from the early 1990s, because I have been yearning to find a photo of one of Anna Sui’s cunning animal ear hats (with pompom strings) from that time.
For now, a picture of Blythe in full eargear will do:

I loved the NY Times photo of the vintage hats! And ear-hats in general. I always tell MrB that I want to wear my hair "like ears" but I haven't had it long enough for two little topknots.
The bunny ears.... oh, so cute.
I've been envious of your bold avatar since I met you. It lends a lot of mystique, whereas mine is all about my face and looking put together. If I were a copycat, I'd do the same.
As far as animal ears go, I just can't do it. Not bold enough? I don't know, but I tried on a bomber hat with fur when strolling on Columbus Avenue with my hubby and and looked like a forest nymph.
A forest nymph is a positive image, right? It sounds charming . . .
If I found the right ears, I'd be all ears too.
