April's Vogue: Aqua and Re(a)d All Over

If April's Vogue US is any indication, red and aqua are the colors of the season.

To wit: red and aqua on the cover.

I find this color combination to be striking:

Nan Goldin for Bottega Veneta.

Karen Elson for Tiffany.  (Think of the blue box.)

OK: this Nan Goldin photo wasn't in Vogue, but it fits the theme.

Ooh, I do like that -- might not have noticed it without benefit of your sharp eye, but I think I'd like to put that together . . . red and aqua, hmmmm. . .

Other that liking the color combination does anybody besides me think that Giselle looks ridiculous in that outfit on the cover?

I am sending a picture of Karen Elson to my hair colourist. LOVE her hair!

I've always had a thing for turquoise and red. Aqua is a little pale for me. Good observation though!

I saw lots of red for guys at Emporio Armani. : )

This color pairing has been big on the wedding circuit for a year or so now...

Well spotted and I love new American Vogue front cover - you can always tell when Anna is sticking two fingers up to the rest of us!

I like the fact that the reds are a bit more rusted. Great color combination. I am in fact thinking of painting my bedroom in that aqua.
