Kate Middleton's Graceful Dress

Even though the necklines couldn't be more different, I thought that the new Duchess of Cambridge's elegant, feminine wedding dress echoed that of Grace Kelly, another "commoner" who married a prince.

Just lovely.

You know I don't know much about fashion, but I thought the very same thing! Had to check this a.m. to see your take on things. I LOVED it!

Lovely indeed. I thought of Princess Grace too as soon as I had seen Kate's gown.

My first thought as well.

Pretty, classic, elegant. But quite frankly nothing to write home about. I expected so much more since the dress came from The House of McQueen.
And I am a bit annoyed with everyone being so star struck about it.
Pippa's dress on the other hand was far more interesting for a bride's maid dress.

When I was watching the wedding with my girlfriends that's the first thing i said about her dress. It really does remind me of Grace kellys dress. so beautiful!

Kate's choice of dress reflected her priorities. She chose to honor the monarchy with a dignified, classic choice instead of making a fashion statement. I love fashion statements and bold designs, yet I admire her choice greatly. It seemed wise and respectful. I like that confidence and self-awareness in a woman.
