Our island ferry service is called The Protection Connection (I'm telling you this because your post title seems related). Such a pretty skirt this is. A few holiday seasons ago, I bought a slightly longer skirt, strips wider (perhaps an inch) that I call my car-wash skirt. Obviously it lacks the feathery effect, but it's still fun to play with the fringey movement . . . festive!

Haha... Love the title. I'd definitely wear that skirt. As long as it wouldn't make my butt look big, that is.
