VPL by Victoria Bartlett

I ran a couple of miles this afternoon and am tired of running shoes.

Hence a visit to Barneys for some unsensible shoes (senseless shoes?).  These are VPL by Victoria Bartlett.

I like how the suede looks like velvet.  That makes good sense to me.

Love.

There is something elegant about them even as they look like they are collapsing---kind of the boot equivalent of an antique ennui couch. Your associations may vary.

VERY velvety and lovely!

An ennui couch! Love that term. It's so much more existentially glamourous than a plain old fainting couch.

Oh, they are chic! But I don't like the name VPL.

Yes, indeed: agreed about the unattractive acronym.

Hee! "Ennui couch." 'Can't wait to see how you style up these beauties.

They provide a lovely, tactile contrast to the utilitarian look and feel of a running shoe.
